I will surely have a candy sugar headache by lunch time. Other than eating Reese’s all day, plan to go out and enjoy Halloween activities in New York City.

Village Halloween Parade (On 6th Avenue from Spring Street to 16th Street) On October 31st, dress up and join the fun of New York’s signature fright night parade. In order to participate, you must be in costume and line up between 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. on 6th Avenue at Canal Street. It’s a great excuse to dress up and act like a child. If you just want to watch, the most crowded area is between Bleecker and 14th Streets. The parade ends at 11 p.m.

Halloween Pumpkin Flotilla NYC 365 Guide New York City Monica DiNataleHalloween Pumpkin Flotilla (Harlem Meer) Bring the whole family and celebrate Halloween in Central Park. Enjoy pumpkin carving, Halloween crafts, spooky stories and the Central Park Conservancy’s signature Pumpkin Flotilla. This event is free and starts at twilight when the pumpkins sail across the Harlem Meer. Bring a pumpkin that weighs about eight pounds after it’s carved if you want to donate your pumpkin. There will be a designated drop-off area near the Dana Discovery Center between 4:00 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. Space in the flotilla is limited to fifty pumpkins and is first come, first served. Be warned, your pumpkin will not be returned.

Bane Haunted House NYC 365 Guide New York City Monica DiNataleBane Haunted House (618 West 46th Street) Bane Haunted House is ranked as one of the scariest haunted houses in the area every year. They play on all types of fears; claustrophobia, separation anxiety, clowns and more. Prepare yourself for heart pumping fun with more than one hundred actors ready to make you scream in their 40,000 square feet castle. Visitors should be able to climb up, jump over, crawl through, and spin around what lurks inside the spooky house. Bane Haunted House quickly sells out so be sure to get tickets in advance. The house closes November 9th.
