You know fall is upon us when you start seeing pumpkins on display everywhere. Enjoy the glorious weather and transition of seasons with new food options. There are plenty or restaurants to check out and celebrate that gentle glide into fall.

Route 66 Smokehouse (46 Stone Street) If you need your barbecue fix this weekend, visit Stone Street for quaint cobblestone seating and delicious grilled delicacies. Save with $5 drafts, $7 well drinks and $6 wines Monday through Friday from 4-7 p.m. During weekend brunch order the unlimited Bloody Mary, mimosa or Route 66 pilsner for $20 for two hours. If you’re not a meat lover try the fried oyster po’ boy sandwich with sweet potato fries.

Barking Dog Restaurant Monica DiNatale 365 Guide NYCBarking Dog (1678 Third Avenue) For raw bar fans, stop by the Barking Dog from 3-7 p.m. during the week and belly up to the bar for $5 beer and wine, $7 frozen margaritas and $1 blue point oysters. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with omelets starting at $8. The menu offers some of the best comfort food like $9 burgers and five cheese macaroni for $15. Yes, they are very dog friendly so don’t leave Fido at home.

Frying Pan Bar Monica DiNatale 365 Guide NYCThe Frying Pan (Pier 66) If you crave a water view without traveling to the beaches, spend Monday at The Frying Pan. The Pan is a collection of ships docked at Pier 66 that includes a floating bar and restaurant with spectacular water views of New Jersey. I feel like I’m on vacation when I visit. The burgers and fries ($12) are great but they also offer clams, mussels and lobster. They make a mean margarita, have buckets of Rolling Rock (6) for $34, and a full bar for all your favorite beverages.
