Heartland Brewery NYC March Madness 365 Guide New York CityAfter your St. Patty’s Day celebrations this week, why not gear up for March Madness mayhem. Even if you’re not into college hoops, the energy in the city is electric with plenty of eating and drinking deals to give you even more energy.

Heartland Brewery (2 locations) Heartland consistently brews some of New York’s freshest craft beers, including six unique brews and a wide range of seasonal ones. They pride themselves on being made from indigenous ingredients such as Wisconsin malt, hops from Washington and Oregon, and American yeast. All beers are served at their freshest within one to two weeks of brewing.  Heartland is showing all games for the tournament with revolving beer and food specials. The menu is huge with everything from pub grub to filet mignon. Try the Southern Fried Pickle Spears ($10.50) or the Buffalo Chicken Spring Rolls ($15.25) to start. Monday through Friday visit from 4-7 p.m. and save with $7 drinks and beers, $8 wines and $2 sliders.

Mad River GrillMad River Grill St. Pattys Day NYC 365 Guide New York City (1442 Third Avenue) Join the infamous Mad River on Saint Patrick’s Day for Kegs and Eggs starting at 9 a.m. Grab some breakfast and beers before the parade even starts. If not, head there afterwards for tons of good grub and suds. Saturday, March 16th from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. it’s just $30 for unlimited domestic beer and buffet breakfast. The first 100 people get free St. Patty’s Day swag. They host many themed nights like Trivia Tuesdays from 8-10 p.m. with $5 Blue Moon Drafts and $20 Bud Light Buckets. Visit on Taco Wednesdays from 7-10 p.m. for $1 Tacos and $3 Modelo cans. On Fridays happy hour drink deals last from 7-10 p.m. to start your weekend off right.

McGee’s PubMcGees Pub St. Pattys Day NYC 365 Guide New York City (240 West 55th Street) Visit for brunch on Saturday to choose your entree and receive one free drink for $20. The menu offers traditional pub eats and Irish classics like Bangers and Mash, Donegal Fish and Chips and a Full Irish Breakfast for $20. If you’re all beered out, try one of their International “Hot” Drinks like the Iced Chocolate Roll with Patron XO Cafe and root beer or a Dreamsicle with whipped cream vodka, orange vodka and orange juice for $10. Happy hour specials change daily from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. with discounts on martinis, wines and beer deals including pitchers.
