Standings Bar ( 43 East 7th Street) Standings offers TVs in every corner and covers everything sport all the time. If you lived nearby, it’s the type of bar you’d visit several times a week. They even offer free pizza every Friday night at 8 p.m. For March Madness, surround yourself with all the games while enjoying free pizza as well. The pizza will be served at 1 p.m. during the tournament. There are 20+ craft beers on tap to soak up all that dough. The bar is small so you may be standing at Standings surrounded by a local cool crowd. The bartenders will know your name by the end of you’re visit at this low key sports paradise.

Lansdowne Road Bar NYC March Madness 265 Guide New York CityLansdowne Road (599 Tenth Avenue) It’s always specials galore at Lansdowne Road. Every day from open to close score savings with their daily beer special of select $5 drafts and beer buckets of five cans for $20. From 3-7 p.m. save with $3 off all drafts, $4 domestic bottles, $6 wines and well drinks. After 11 p.m. select appetizers are half price. The menu is full of good pub grub and they pour fifteen craft beers on tap. They are known for their Scruffy Duffy’s Chicken Wings ($12.95 for ten and $25.95 for twenty) and Cheeseburger Sliders ($11.95). There is a second bar in the back it it’s crowded up front in addition to plenty of seating at tables.

Houston Hall NYC March Madness 365 Guide New York CityHouston Hall (222 West Houston Street) For large groups, head to Houston Hall for a rowdy crowd and party vibe. You’ll be amazed a massive beer hall and brew pub exists in New York City’s West Village. They serve an exclusive selection of craft beers in addition to a large specialty cocktail menu. From 4-7 p.m. grab discounted drinks like $8 craft beers, $9 wines and $2 sliders at the bar. The beer comes in three sizes so you can sample different brews until you find one you love. Start with Giant Soft Bavarian Pretzel ($13.95) served with warm cheddar ale dip and spicy honey mustard. Think gastropub meets sports bar. The tournament games will be on all their large screens.
