I get giddy when Restaurant Week turns into Restaurant Month. From January 18th to February 13th give your wallet a rest with incredible deals throughout the city. Now you can try four times as many places while saving money! This year restaurants are offering two-course lunches for $29 and three-course dinners for $39. If you want to splurge, select high-end places are $59 for dinner.

Jacob’s Pickles (509 Amsterdam Avenue) Pickles are a religion at this Southern-inspired eatery. Expand your horizons with pickled veggies of all kinds, including green beans and beets. The star of the show to me is their Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwiches. Each comes on a flakey biscuit with various toppings resulting in a dizzying tastebud explosion. If you’re not a chicken fan (huh?), try the Shrimp and Bacon Grits or Baby Back Ribs. Plan on walking home after this feast.

Nizza (630 Ninth Avenue) Restaurants in the Theater District have had a rough year. Nizza is an exceptional trattoria with Northern Italian favorites and homemade pasta. Pick a pasta, any pasta, and you’ll be happy. Some of my favorites are the Butternut Squash Ravioli and the Cacio E Pepe. Is there anything more satisfying than homemade pasta? With their convenient Theater District location, make a night of it to keep that city pulse alive. Click here for 2-for-1 ticket deals.

Masseria Dei Vini (887 Ninth Avenue) In Southern Italy, masserias are fortified farmhouses. Hidden in Hell’s Kitchen lives Masseria Dei Vini which translates to “The Farmhouse of Wines”. Not only do they have an extensive wine list, but their delicate pasta and rustic meats are top-notch. I recommend the Homemade Stuffed Mozzarella to start, followed by the Cialatielli alla Siciliana, house-cut thick fettuccini pasta with tomato sauce and eggplant. You can’t go wrong with the Pizza Margertita and a fine glass of Chianti.
