I just hate when people say that! There is always something to do especially in the Big Apple. Granted, some of us need a little guidance to get off the couch and put down the Ben & Jerry’s (my favorite), that’s where I come in. Every week I will try my best to give you “something to do.”
The New York City Wine & Food Festival is going on until Sunday 10/20. http://www.nycwff.org/ There are so many chefs to see and foods to taste. Some of it is pricey but they do offer a range of activities that occur all over the city. I like the Emeril Lagasse Talk at 1pm 10/19 for $35, Jets + Chefs: The Ultimate Tailgate hosted by Joe Namath and Mario Batali (10/19 2-5pm) for $125 or Fab Wines for Funky Fromage 10/20 2pm for $85. There are also late-night parties to explore.
The Barclay’s Center is hosting Pearl Jam tonight & Saturday night. http://www.barclayscenter.com/
Come Together: Surviving Sandy, Year 1 is a FREE (free is good) art show starting Sunday 10/20 through 12/15 http://cometogethersandy.com/
Need a pumpkin fix?? Try visiting Rattle N Hum http://www.rattlenhumbarnyc.com/newsite/ They have five pumpkin beers on tap and delicious bar food. That’s my brunch at Rattle N Hum above. Yum.
There’s always something to do. Just ask!
