On this day of celebrating the special people in your life, why not show your appreciation with food! Whether it’s a high end meal or a small treat, be sure to display love today.
Gramercy Tavern (42 East 20th Street) For more than twenty years, Gramercy has wowed diners in a historic landmark building and earned nine James Beard Awards, including “Outstanding Restaurant” and “Outstanding Chef in America”. On Valentine’s Day in the Main Dining Room they will offer a seven-course tasting menu at $225 per person. In the Tavern, a four-course menu is $125 per person. Gramercy Tavern is a non-tipping restaurant with hospitality included. They always deliver impeccable service creating a “special” meal on any day.
Tache Chocolate (163 Chrystie Street, Suite B2) All of Tache’s selections are hand crafted in a mini Willy Wonka esque factory on site. The chocolates are handmade from the finest ingredients in the world and are individual works of art. Take your loved ones in for a coffee and an array of treats you can’t imagine. Tache is also famous for its chocolate making classes. Tonight they are teaching a couples BYOB class for $75 per person focusing on love themed treats. A gift certificate for a future class would also make a luscious gift. Perhaps try a Beer Caramel Truffle ($3.20) or a French Caramel Kiss with sea salt ($3.50). A box of their signature truffles is $40.
