Love is in the air. If you’re struggling with what to do and where to eat on Valentine’s Day, try a prix-fixe menu to take out the guesswork. Most restaurants are offering special menus so be sure to check before making a reservation.

La Lanterna Di Vittorio (129 MacDougal Street) This gourmet pizza and wine bar is perfectly romantic with dim lighting, wrought iron furniture and sky lights. The covered back patio screams date night. For Valentine’s Day they are offering an $80 four-course prix-fixe menu that ends with taking home a bottle of Prosecco to continue the evening. Impress your sweetie by starting with the Passionfruit Champagne Cocktail and a choice of one of three homemade lasagnas. The Bar Next Door is offering the same menu with live jazz for $92. Seatings are at 6, 8 and 10 p.m.

Anejo (301 Church Street) At Anejo, Valentine’s Day is a week long event. From Sunday, February 11th to Saturday, February 17th, Anejo will be offering a five-course tasting menu in sponsorship with Don Julio Tequila. For $93 per person, enjoy specialties such as Crispy Cauliflower Tacos with lime aioli, snow peas, and guajillo chili glaze, and Spanish Rock Octopus with chorizo cream, squid ink bread crumbs, and kombocha squash. For dessert, Lover’s Churros with maple chocolate ganache and strawberry champagne jam is perfectly sweet.  All courses are accompanied with varying expressions of Don Julio and tequila education.

Bowery Road (132 Fourth Avenue) Bowery Road is a neighborhood American restaurant located in the Hyatt Union Square. All the menu items are inspired by long relationships with local farmers and purveyors, and are loaded with seasonal produce from the local greenmarket. There is a large bar and lounge area if you’re looking for a creative cocktail as well as a massive dining room. For Valentine’s Day they are offering a three-course prix-fixe menu for $55. Start with Pumpkin Perogies followed by Lobster Tagliatelle or NY Strip Steak. The quality of their ingredients really does shine in every dish. It is a grand space with high ceilings and two floors yet dimly lit for a classy intimate dining experience. Ask to be seated in the back if you prefer a quieter table.
